New programme! Still Caring – Carers’ lunch club

I am pleased to announce a new dementiaCOMPASS programme.  We are working in partnership with our local Dementia Carers’ Support Service to offer a regular monthly lunch club for carers of a person with dementia, starting in February.  Our goal is to provide an opportunity for carers to link with resources and give you a way to connect with each other.

Here are the details:

Who?

This lunch club is for carers who are:

  • caring at home
  • caring at a distance
  • caring for a relative in a residential home or
  • who have recently lost someone who had dementia.

You will have opportunities to connect with carers like yourself on the day.

What?

Two course meal followed by a short talk pertinent to being a carer or about resources available.

Lunch is £9 per person and includes two courses, plus coffee or tea.

(We are also creating a small committee of carers to lead the speaker and resource arrangement.  If you are a carer and interested in playing a role, please speak with Edye or Sally.)

When?

Second Wednesday of every month
12:30 for 1pm

Our first meeting is on 13 February 2013.

Where?

9 High Street, Fulbourn CB21 5DH
