Caring with dementia leads to unexpected challenges that can test the resolve of any relationship. Suddenly patience, organisation, and communication can be taxed in the most complicated ways, leaving us to wonder whether our own well-being can be maintained and groping for tools and skills to navigate successfully. Join us for a five-week series of meetings when we’ll discuss how to improve your experience with dementia and offer you and the person you care for success with these challenges.
These are peer-led facilitated meetings open to existing Dementia Compass participating carers and family members.
Past discussion topics have included:
- Flight or fight response
- “Me and my shadow”
- Redefining success
- Identifying and managing your care team
- When is enough, enough?
- Finding space when care is 24/7
