We are looking forward to the upcoming April meeting of the Still Caring Lunch Club on Wednesday 10 April. At our March meeting we welcomed Dr. Claire Nicholl from Addenbrooke’s Hospital who provided an update on the dementia care improvements being made in hospitals, both locally and nationally. It was a lively lunch with good discussion and it is a pleasure to share these positive comments received from one of the meeting’s attendees:
I much appreciated the chance to talk to carers in a similar situation, and was very interested in what Dr Nicholl had to say. I hope I can become a regular attender.

For the April meeting, I look forward to introducing Simon Hanna the Senior Exercise Specialist from the NHS Cambridgeshire Community Services Falls Prevention programme who will join us for lunch, speak briefly to us about the value of staying active as well as taking questions.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing Simon, don’t miss this opportunity. Simon has worked with the Falls Prevention programme for some time and has a keen awareness of how our bodies age and the benefits and advantages of living an active life. He has worked with dementiaCOMPASS since our beginning to support strength and balance for our COMPASS participants.
Please note that bookings for the lunch are essential and the deadline is Friday, 3 April. The details for the lunch can be found here.
