Still Caring Lunch Club – June Meeting

I am looking forward to our next Still Caring lunch meeting on 12 June when we will hear from the director of our local hearing loss campaigning charity — CAMTAD.  Frances Dewhurst will join us for lunch then speak briefly to us about the current understanding of hearing loss and she has kindly agreed to take questions.  If you would like to know about CAMTAD, you can access more information on their website.

New and improved…

Over the last month, we’ve made some significant changes to our website.  We hope the improvements will enable viewers to keep up to date with Dementia Compass programming and activity.  We also hope the website will help Compass participants to access local support and resources more easily, especially with our new calendar feature.

At first glance you’ll notice that the main page of the website is quite different.  It now highlights the different ways we work to support the individual with the diagnosis and his or her care partners, including primary carers, family members, professionals and the community-at-large.  We hope this is an easy introduction for new visitors to our programme.  In addition, there is the new Resources page that lists activities and resources available to participants. read more…
